Presumably other people apart from the knowledgeable "Peter" took the time to listen to the quiz, but I got no responses.
I don't suppose people that come here because they've stumbled upon my alphabet page are going to be into the same music as me. I should bleeding well hope not anyway!
But what I've done is insert a 1000 milisecond silence between each fragment. I reckon that because they're not all running into each other, it should be a bit easier.
At the moment, the last couple of tracks aren't showing up, and I've managed to mess up the formatting on the table below. It's now very late, and I will sort it out later.
Edit: Now the last couple of tracks are showing up, all by themselves.

still impossible, there's some Floyd & Kate Bush towards the end, and another Stranglers tune I'm sure but I keep losing count.Bloody easy when you know what they are, impossible when you don't. ta for the hours of frustration though
Only one stranglers tune! You correctly identified that Floyd and Kate Bush are there towards the end.
I'm surprised how hard people have found this. Easy when you know what they are indeed, and of course I know what they are, so it's hard for me to know how hard. Some of them are bloody hard though, I admit. Without my list I'd be struggling. I'm surprised at some of the ones that haven't been found though.
I will give it a few more days then post the answers.
